  2. Hi Amelia,

This is a great start. I, too, am really looking forward to reading the next installment! You have demonstrated great creativity. Wow!

If you have time this summer and would like another outlet for your creativity, please consider joining our Summer Learning Journey. You can log onto the site by copying and pasting this url into your broswer (https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/home-1). It will take you to the registration page. Once you've registered you can click on the 'Weekly Activities' tab and look through the various options. There are different activities available each day. You can choose to do as many as you want to and then blog about them. Each blog is worth points. At the end of the summer the student with the most points will earn a prize!

Are you interested in joining the journey? I hope so! I'll check your blogspot again later in the week to see if you have decided to join us. If you go, I'll post lots of comments and feedback for you. Hopefully it will help you to improve your reading and writing skills and to get ready for Year 5!

    Wishing you a happy 2016.

    All the best, Rachel

  3. Hi Amelia!

I am sending you a friendly reminder that the
summer blogging project (Summer Learning Journey) is currently underway. It is just about to head into Week 3 and there are over 20 fun activities for you to complete. Each activity is worth points and the points will be added up at the end of the summer. Students with the most points will win prizes. All participants will also earn a badge and a certificate.

I will be checking your blog spot every day up to and including Tuesday 26 January (the last day of the blogging programme).

If you would like to join the programme and receive lots of comments and feedback, please log onto the Summer Learning Journey website: https://sites.google.com/site/summerlearningjourney/home-1, register and then click on the 'Weekly Activities' tab. The activities are divided into 3 weeks and you will likely want to start with 'Week 1.' During week 1 you will be invited to choose a country to travel to, buy an airline ticket, watch the All Blacks perform a cool safety video, pack your suitcase, and review a good book for the airplane ride!

A number of students from your school are currently participating in the programme and we're all having a great time. If you'd like to be one of them, please log on and blog today!

Hope to see you online this week :)

    Cheers,
    Rachel
