Bonus Activity
Translate the following five basic travel phrases into Spanish, German, Malaysian, Japanese, Arabic or Afrikaans. Use the Google Translate website to do the translations.
The country that I chose was Germany because it is another favorite country of mine:
Good Morning: Guten Morgen
Good Night: Gute Nacht
Hello: Hallo
Thank you: Danke
When is the next bus: Wann fährt der nächste Bus
Do you speak English: Sprichst du Englisch

ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe that you are already on the second week of activities for the Summer Learning Journey programme. That is excellent progress!
I am also really impressed to see that you were able to find the Google translate site and translate all five travel phrases into German. Way to go! If I was going to Germany I would definitely need to bring my computer or phone with me so that I could use Google translate all the time! It is so helpful, isn't it?
Although we have been able to translate the five sentences above, I know that there are still many more important phrases that we would need to learn before we went to Germany. Can you think of any other sentences, words or phrases that we might need to learn before we travelled overseas?
Personally, I would also like to know how to say, "Can you please help me?" and "How much does this item cost?"
What would you like to learn how to say?

Just remember to take some time for yourself to have a bit of fun and relax. At the moment I like reading a comic about Jazz, it's pretty cool. Are you reading any books at the moment too?
Like Rachel I also want to know how to say "How much does it cost?" but I also want to know how to say "Are you okay?" and "Where is the toilet?" haha!

DeleteThanks for the comment. I'm really enjoying this program and also excited about my progress too! Yea and I did get some relax and fun well I was not really blogging. I was reading lot's of books and going to the library. The book that I have been reading is The kingdom of fantasy by Geronimo Stilton. I would also say "Where's the toilet?" too haha!
