When you turn on the TV you decide to scroll through the channels to see what local television programmes and movies are like in your country. You are amazed! In some cases it is pretty different from what is on TV in New Zealand. To see what is popular in your country, click on the links below and watch the video. In some cases, they will be in different languages!

Activity 1
On your blog provide a short review of the video from your country. In your review please tell us:
  1. The name of the television show
  2. What you liked about the show
  3. What you didn’t like about the show
Finally, at the end of the review, give the video a rating out of 5 stars with 5 stars (*****) being amazing and 1 star (*) being terrible

So as I was trying to click the link to the video I was suppose to watch it did not work. So instead I searched up on YouTube The Voice Australia the best blind auditions so then I used this a the video.
Here's a link to the video - Link.

Review:

  1. The name of the television show - The name of the TV show is The Voice.
  2. What you liked about the show - What I like about the show is how they press the buttons and they surprisingly see there auditions.
  3. What you didn’t like about the show - There was actually nothing that I didn't like about the show because I used to watch it when I had a TV, and it was all just great!
I give this video 5 (*****) stars because it is one of the best entertainment shows I know, and it is really funny in some seasons.

Activity 2
Most of us like to watch TV when we have the chance. One of my favourite television shows, at the moment, is called Veep. It’s a show about a woman who becomes the President of the United States. It’s pretty funny! I watch Veep on HBO every Monday night.

What is your favourite television show at the moment? On your blog, tell us the name of your favourite television show and tell us, briefly, what it is about.

My favorite television show at the moment is 19 kids and counting. This TV show is held by Jim - Bob and Michelle and is about Michelle who is raising a whole lot of kids that's right a lot! 19 kids and counting as you might already know from my other activity's previously is one of the biggest family's in America. This is a hardworking family and is determent to fix every problem they have which is pretty impressive. Michelle Duggar who is the mother of all the kids actually delivered every single one of them. They first started off with there first ever TV show called 14 kids and pregnant again! They had pretty rough times back then. Did you know that there youngest daughter Josie had to be delivered very early, and she was so tiny that she had to stay at the hospital until she grew older. Guess what happen she survived. Did you know that all the Duggars names except for Michelle all has names that starts with the letter J. That is all about my favorite TV show.

Here are all there names below including there husbands wife and children:

Josh - Oldest

Anna

Jana

John - David

Jill

Jessa

Jinger

Joseph

Josiah

Joy - Anna

Jedidiah

Jeremiah

Jason

James

Justin

Jackson

Johannah

Jennifer

Jordan

Mackynzie

Joise

Michael - Youngest

  1. Hi Amelia,

Mark and I are just sitting here chatting about the television programme, 19 Kids and Counting. Mark hadn't heard of it before and he was amazed that one woman could have 19 of her own children. It is pretty incredible, isn't it?!

I have also watched a number of episodes of the programme and found it difficult to remember all of the children' names, particularly given that they chose the letter 'J' for the names of each of the 19 children. Their eldest son, Josh, then married his wide, Anna, and they have had 4 children of their own, all starting with the letter 'M.' As of this year they have Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus and Meredith. WOW!

If you were a mom of 19 children, what letter would you have chosen for the beginning of each child's name? I think that I would have selected the letter 'A' because I can think of a number of names that I like (including my son's name, Aronui)!

    What letter would you choose?

It's great blogging with you Amelia. I'm having so much fun and I know that Mark is, too!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)

  2. Hi Amelia!

I like the voice too! But I also like the talent shows that show off different talents that are not always singing.

As for that huge family! Wow it is huge! I can't imagine being in a family like that really, as we've already discussed earlier haha.

But you know what I like? This activity, because I can share one of my favourite ever shows, and it is from when I lived in Korea. It's a show called Running Man and is very funny. It is a game show where a usual cast of comedians, actors, and pop stars, goes up against all kinds of other Korean celebrities. It is hilarious and the games are crazy. The reason it's called Running Man is that they play a game at the end of the show usually, which has them running around an office chasing each other.

Anyways, here are a couple of links so you can see if you like it.

Obviously not all the activities involve water, but these are some of the funniest. It's hard to find good clips on youtube.

I'm going to be away for a bit at my best friends wedding. I'm the best man! It's very exciting. But I will be back on Monday and will try respond one evening over the time I'm away.

I hope you have a lovely rest of the week and a great weekend!

    Mark
